New York Fashion Week Day 1 - my outfit for the day, as I try to keep myself from freezing my ass off!
Keeping the color palette very neutral - I love this camel color this winter!
In love with this pom pom hat I got on Depop, from a store in Brooklyn

Gold booties, yes always.
New York City welcomed me with the coldest frosty winter day in 60 years. I landed on Saturday and felt as if a truck had hit me while a thousand knives were piercing through my skin simultaneously. Already it had toughened me, as it always has since my last 7 years in this city of dreams. I dreaded the winters, but all this energy and inspiration made it worthwhile. I've really missed you NYC!
I missed the first few days of fashion week due to conflicting schedules. My first show was a range of up and coming designers from Style Fashion Week at the beautiful Gotham Hall. What I love about attending these rising designer shows is the rawness of talent the public wouldn't otherwise see, since only the bigger named designers would be broadcasted worldwide.
As for this outfit, I love mixing textures where only this weather would allow. A little bit of wool, a little fur, and sleek leather - topping it off with a statement shoe in a neutral color. If you want to stand out in a sea of fashionistas, I think a bold hat is the way to go!
Stay tuned for more outfit details during Fashion Week.
