Fall Fashion Week is one of my favorite holidays. I say holiday, because artistically it's a moment for celebration. This season is especially aesthetically engaging. The layering of different fabrics, mediums, and color elements is an art in itself - a showcasing with each model exhibiting an aura much like the golden, vintage frames of a canvas painting. So far, I've seen a common theme of clashes - as oxymoronic as that may sound - and breaking of conventional styling rules. Patterns layered on top of other patterns (ie, plaids + florals, animals + paisley?). Sportswear types matched with high luxe details. 70s inspired themes paired with a 90s grunge takeover. Menswear pieces finished with a feminine flair. It's was so much fun scanning through these images -- finally a Fall fashion week with no shortage of colors and prints! I've done the honors of picking out some stand outs from these runway shows just for you guys. Hopefully next season I'll be at the show! :) :(
Happy Lunar New Year, everyone! xo
