Word on the street is that The Daily Front Row (a magazine that provides in depth coverage of all the New York Fashion Week shows and events) has the best Lounge Parties for industry exclusives at the Stone Rose Lounge NYC. I went with my awesome friend, Shannon, and we definitely took advantage of the free drinks, massages, yogurt, and tea! Most excitingly, I was introduced to the fabulous Andre Benton, who has designed masks/hand cuffs/and many accessories for fashion shows (such as the renowned, flamboyant designer, Richie Rich!). (Check out one of his interviews here) He was so down to earth and so willing to sit and talk to me about his unique designs. If you know me well, you will see that I have a STRONG affinity towards metal hardware in anything I wear! Spikes, spikes, spikes! What I enjoy most about going to these industry events is that everyone is after the same thing --a name in fashion. I was surrounded by enthusiasts alike and their yearn for glamour! Any one who's had their foot in the door will come to realize that this is precisely what Fashion Week is all about. :)
